
BRIEF CURRICULUM
Elaine Fontes is a visual artist, graduated in Art and Design by the School of Arts and Crafts Mateo Inurria, Córdoba, Spain. Since then, she devoted herself professionally to painting, participating in various individual and collective exhibitions, including: Sample Inquietudes , Tomie Ohtake Institute, São Paulo - SP, 2017; Pinacoteca UFV, Viçosa - MG, 2010, 2001; Arts Hall of Ouro Preto, MG, 2001; Nello Nuno Hall, FAOP, Ouro Preto - MG, 2002; House of Brazil, Madrid, Spain, 1996, 1994; Sample of Artistas Mineiros, Viçosa - MG, 1996; Juan Bernier Gallery, Córdoba, Spain, 1994; Collective Monturque, Spain, 1997; School of Arts Mateo Inurria, Córdoba, Spain, 1996, 1992, 1991.
The artist also has works in the collections of: Galería Ana Terra, Vitória, ES .; Arthur Bernardes Museum, Viçosa, MG; Valu Oria Art gallery, São Paulo - SP; Pinacoteca da UFV, Viçosa -MG; Juan Bernier Gallery, Córdoba, Spain and other galleries and private collections.
Currently, Elaine Fontes works in her workshop in Viçosa - MG and in projects in São Paulo - SP, dedicating herself totally to research and experimentation in the field of Visual Arts. In 2017, she was selected for the INQUIETUDES Artistic Residence, at the Tomie Ohtake Institute (São Paulo - SP), where she developed part of her research "Impermanencia". Since then, it is part of the Colectivo Inquietudes (São Paulo - SP) and the Cambada Collective (Viçosa - MG)
